night crate training tips?
after 3 weeks of trying to crate train our puppy, he still hates it. We have tried keeping his favourite toys in there and only give him stuffed kongs when he is there but he still becomes distressed and barks non stop till we let him out. I have the crate right next to my bed so my puppy can see me and but he just won’t settle at night. I realise by taking him out that I am reinforcing that whining and barking gets attention but after a few hours my husband worries about the neighbours. Any tips gratefully received.
‘Launi’ has already said what I would, the only addition is I would cover the crate with a blanket.
